About Infosemantics Pty Ltd

Infosemantics Pty Ltd was founded in 2004 in Perth, Western Australia to supply local businesses with information design, technical authoring, instructional design, and e-learning development services.

With the arrival of software tools such as Adobe Captivate and Adobe Flash, we've seen an explosion of interest in corporate e-learning. As a result, e-learning development and sales of our custom AS3 widgets are now the mainstay of our business.

Rod Ward

Director of Infosemantics. Rod is a Technical Author, Information Designer, and E-Learning Developer with over a decade of industry experience. Based in Perth since 1986 he has worked for companies large and small across Australia. Rod's specialties are the design and development of e-learning courses using sound instructional design principles and Adobe's suite of e-learning software tools.

Tristan Ward

Tristan is our resident Flash and ActionScript expert. He builds many of the Flash animations and interactivity add-ins included in our Captivate e-learning courses. Tristan is deservedly famous throughout the Adobe Captivate world for his Widget King blog which contains many articles about creating AS3 widgets using his WidgetFactory API, now the leading platform for creating AS3 widgets for Captivate. He's also our go-to guy for video editing.

Jessica Ward

Jessica is an accomplished technical writer, web developer, and graphic artist, as well as a proficient Mandarin Chinese speaker. She currently spends most of her time with a very special client of ours, the Half the Sky Foundation. This is a charity that cares for Chinese orphans, of which there are far too many. Jessica is currently helping Half the Sky develop new training materials for courses they run to teach nannies how to care for orphaned and institutionalised children.

Raeleen Ward

Our resident book-keeper and accountant. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have a business!
